Shashank Vyas remembers his late ‘Balika Vadhu’ co-star Pratyusha Banerjee


Death shockingly came too soon for beauty Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee. The popular actress who dazzled and wowed everyone with her fabulous acting chops in ‘Balika Vadhu’ committed suicide at a young age. The actress was found hanging at her flat in Bangur Nagar on April 1st, 2016.


The actor Shashank Vyas who played Jagya on the show shared a story on his Instagram account and wrote, “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still love, still missed and very dear”

Talking about his late co-star, Shashank told SpotboyE, “We used to spend a lot of time together laughing, arguing, eating, sharing secrets and whatnot. I have seen her grow as an actor from thirty retakes to one single take. I have seen her stardom and also the problems she was facing behind.”

He continued, “But she was a strong girl and on that day I was in gym for my work out when I received a message from a friend that Pratyusha is no more. And I can’t tell you what that feeling was. That moment I realised nothing is permanent. From that incident, I learned that one should focus on their life for quality and not quantity. Zindagi ki koi problem aapki zindagi se badi nahi hoti hai. I miss her and will always miss her.”


Pratyusha’s death had left everyone shocked including her family, co-stars, friends as well as her fans. Although no suicide note was found beside the 24-year-old’s body, many blamed her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh for her big step. Also, her friends claimed that her tumultuous relationship was the reason behind her committing suicide. But, nothing could be proved against Rahul.
